Former Pitt/NFL Head Coach Dave Wannstedt Gives Pregame Message to Hopewell Vikings

Former Pitt Panther, Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears head coach Dave Wannstedt was a master motivator and known to give some of the best pregame speeches to his players.

Wanny’s most memorable win as a head coach was with the Pitt in 2007 when the Panthers went into Morgantown as four touchdown underdogs and defeated the No. 2 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers, 13-7, to prevent them from playing the college national championship game.

Wannstedt, who attended Baldwin High School, was also known for his recruiting skills, especially in the WPIAL.

The Hopewell Vikings have a huge game tonight against Freeport, which could earn them a WPIAL playoff spot, so they shouldn’t need any motivation.

However, HSN reached out to Wannstedt and asked him if he’d give the Viking players a little pregame speech prior to tonight’s game at Tony Dorsett Stadium.
