Hopewell Cheerleading has Monster Weekend at the New Brighton Beaver County Battle Competition!
Coverage brought to you by: KeySolution Staffing: In back to back weekends the Hopewell Youth Cheer teams have brought the A level game to the competition at the Kindergarten age level.
The Hopewell Cheerleaders moved their way up after a rough week at Seneca Valley last week. After most teams not placing last week, these kids were not discouraged one bit and got straight to doing everything they can to improve the difficult 2 minute and 30 second routines for this week. The kids worked very hard all week long to improve for this week and it showed! Along with the teams doing incredible, there were also individual accomplishments. This is when the athletes compete in individual competitions against individuals from all the other schools.
Twerp Tumble off winner- Brynlee Liberty.
Twerp stunt off winners- Gabby Baker, Brynlee Liberty, Meilah Kenney, Layna Soltis.
Termite tumble off winner-Cici Mutkus.
Termite Jump off winner- CiCi Mutkus.
Mighty Might Tumble off winner- Reese Budovich.
Along with the athlete individual competitions there was also a parent tumble off which our hopewell cheer twerp and termite mom Shawnta Baker won! Coaches Melissa Hosack, Barbie Mack, Allison Honeywill,and Mary Mcgrail competed in the coaches stunt off!
They only plan to keep improving for their competitions in the following weeks. Next Sunday hopewell will be performing exhibition at their very own hosted competition “Cheer Explosion” @ Hopewell High School.
Final standings for this weekend: Kindergarten had an amazing performance, twerps placed 2nd, termites placed 3rd, mighty mights placed 2nd and got the best call back award, and midgets placed 1st and got the best dance award.
Hopewell Sports Nation caught up with Cheer Coach Aubrianna Bruzzese who had nothing but good things to say about the Cheer Teams and Hopewell Sports Nation, “I must say I just love what Hopewell Sports Nation is doing for the community.
