Hopewell Boys 4th Grade Travel Team Make Mid-Level Championship Game

The success this season for the 2024 Hopewell Boys 4th Grade Travel team continues.

Last night, the Vikings defeated Blackhawk, 33-11, in the semifinals of the Mid-Level Playoffs. With the victory, Hopewell will next take on Beaver Falls in the Championship Game next Wednesday.

This game was never really in doubt as Coach Gigliotti and Coach Ambrose’s squad were in the complete control from the opening tip.

Hopewell led 15-6 at halftime, 23-8 after three quarters, with the final score ending up 33-11.

The Championship Game will take place next Wednesday at New Brighton. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 PM.

Hopewell entered these playoffs as the No. 1 seed and will now compete for the county championship. In two previous matchups with Beaver Falls this season, the Vikings came out on top.
