Results From Hopewell Gymastics at WPIAL Championships
Hopewell High School Gymnastics competed at the WPIAL Individual Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, February 10th at Moon High School. The WPIAL only recognizes the top 6 in each division with medals for 1st-3rd.
Hopewell had 4 gymnasts qualify for the WPIAL Championships: Senior Olivia Sedlacek (Intermediate I/Gold Division), Junior Alaina Kelly Intermediate II/Silver Division), Sophomore Emily Bauknight (Intermediate II/Silver Division) and Freshman Marina Pinchotti (Intermediate II/Silver Division).
Freshman Marina Pinchotti left Moon HS as the WPIAL All-Around Champion in the Intermediate II Division with a score of 33.725. She also placed 2nd on Beam.
Sophomore Emily Bauknight also placed 6th in the All-Around in the Intermediate II.
Hopewell HS Gymnastics Team had a great meet. They are onto the PA Classic State Championship next weekend at Moon HS. The girls have qualified to compete individually and as a team.
