Recap of the Hopewell Viking Classic Wrestling Tournament

We wanted to let everyone know about the recently completed Hopewell Viking Classic Wrestling Tournament, which included some outstanding performances by a number of Hopewell wrestlers.

Recap of the Hopewell Viking Classic Wrestling Tournament:

Mats were rolled out this past weekend for the annual Hopewell Wrestling Viking Classic tournament hosted by our wrestling youth program. The numbers spoke volumes as the tournament saw its highest turnout in recent years with over 300 registered wrestlers. Hopewell saw over 40 of their own wrestlers, from ages 5-12, compete in their home tournament.

For many, this event marked the beginning of their wrestling journey. The tournament also played a pivotal role in supporting the youth Hopewell wrestling program with parents, coaches, and volunteers coming together to put on this annual tournament. This year’s tournament took on a special significance with the active involvement of the junior/senior high school wrestling program volunteering their time to the youth tournament.

On top of hosting a successful tournament, there were a host of Hopewell wrestlers who placed this past weekend.
