Hopewell Varsity Hockey Wins Season Opener!!!
You would think that in the Steel City where we absolutely love our Penguins that you would hear more about the community and school hockey teams around the area but it just isn’t so. Here at HSN we strive to cover as many sporting events and teams as possible and while we can’t always be everywhere we do appreciate when updates are sent to us that we are happy to share with the community.
Last week the Hopewell Varsity hockey team which is made up of six separate schools in order to have the talent to compete kicked off their season.
”The Strength of SIX the Mentality of ONE” is the teams motto and represents the group well. The team is made up of kids from
Central Valley, Beaver Falls, Freedom
Hopewell, New Brighton and Riverside.
The Hopewell students that are on this hockey team are Gavin Svaranowic (junior) Max Mancini (junior) Ben Meyer (sophomore) Logan Sullivan (sophomore) and Connor Svaranowic (freshman)
In their first game against Carrick the team took home the W with Gavin Crivelli scoring the hat trick, game scoring highlights below.
