Sights and Sounds of Hopewell’s Championship Game Preparation

Hopewell Twp- A day after earning a spot in the WPIAL Girls AA Volleyball Championship, Coach Terry Borkovic and his team were back in the gym this afternoon to prepare for the biggest match of their young careers.

On Saturday afternoon at 1 PM from Peters Township High School, Hopewell will try and win the 7th WPIAL Girls Volleyball Championship in school history.

It won’t be easy as they’ll be going up against Quaker Valley, the best team in AA and a team that’s given Hopewell their only two losses this season.

As far as their preparation, Coach Borkovic tells HSN that today’s workout was strictly about fundamentals. Tomorrow, the emphasis will be entirely on preparing for Quaker Valley. Friday will be a light walk-thru, once again all in preparation for their opponent in the championship game.

One thing that both players and coaches talked about was their appreciation for the support that they’ve received from the Hopewell community throughout the playoffs, especially last night.

Obviously, they hope it continues on Saturday at Peters Township.
