WATCH: Hopewell HC Terry Borkovic Talks About 1st Rd Win and Keys to Victory

HOPEWELL TWP– Winning a championship isn’t easy regardless of how talented your team is.

However, winning the first game/match is necessary and although it wasn’t easy, the Hopewell Lady Vikings defeated McGuffey in 4 sets.

A big shoutout to the Hopewell community and the students for showing up as they were loud, and no doubt were a boost to the team.

The Lady Vikings advance to the quarterfinals where they’ll take on No. 11 seed Avonworth, who defeated No. 6 seed Waynesburg. Hopewell played Avonworth twice this season and defeated them both times, but it will be a difficult task to defeat them three times.

After the match tonight, Hopewell Sports Nation had the chance to talk with Vikings head coach Terry Borkovic.
