Senior Night for Hopewell Girls Volleyball; Trying to Secure 2nd Place Finish
The Hopewell High School Girls volleyball team will look to secure at least a tie for second place on Senior Night.
Tonight, the Lady Vikings (12-2) will host Aliquippa over at Hopewell High School. This will be the last home match for this tremendously talented group of seniors.
The JV starts at 6 PM with Varsity to follow. Senior Night festivities will take place in between the JV and Varsity match.
These are the five Hopewell Seniors that will be recognized:
-Reese Murray
-Jordan Sirianni
-Alyssa Spang
-Mena Catanzarite
-Kaidence McArdle
The Lady Vikings are looking to end the season strong as they hope to make a long run in the upcoming WPIAL and PIAA playoffs.
Currently, Hopewell is 12-2 overall and 10-2 in the section, with both losses this season coming to Quaker Valley (12-2, 12-0).
A win tonight would clinch at least a tie for second place in Class 2A, Section 1. Hopewell is currently one game ahead of OLSH, who they will play in the regular season finale on Thursday. Winning the final two matches will give them second place all to themselves.
If you have time in your schedule, stop over to the high school to watch the ceremonies to recognize these girls that have given a lot of time and effort to the Coach Borkovic and the Hopewell Girls Volleyball program.
