HW 15U Softball Beats Central Valley!

Hopewell 15u Navy beat CV tonight and had two home runs in the game the first from HW Varsity softball player Alana Covalt and the second by Izzy Mutkus.

Hopewell won the game 11-1, flexing their offense and pitching in the game!

Izzy Mutkus had a career game driving in four runs on three hits to Izzy tripled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and hit a home run to center field in the third inning, scoring two.

Hopewell scored six runs in the second inning on hits from Izzy Markus who tripled, scoring two runs, Alana Covalt who singled, scoring one run, Kylie Smith singled, scoring one run, and Gianna Lorenz tripled, scoring two runs. Alana Covalt also had an impressive night as she homered to right field, scoring two runs.
Hopewell had a total of 12 hits in the game with Alana Covalt and Izzy Mutkus leading the charge.

Alana Covalt lead off on the night on the mound for Hopewell she went gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out an impressive nine nine Warriros and walking six. Alea Stauffer led things off in the circle for Central Valley the righty surrendered nine hits and eight runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking only one.

Annabell St.Esprit and Stauffer each collected one hit for Central Valley, Kendall Craft led Central Valle with two walks. Overall, the team did manage to draw six walks for the game off Hopewell pitching.

Hopewell will travel to Central Valley for their next game on Thursday.
