Around Hopewell
Mike Shutak and Shulligan’s Once Again Shows Tremendous Generosity!
When it comes to a person with genuine generosity, they don’t get much better than Mike Shutak.
Since getting to know and starting a friendship with Shutak over a year ago, the owner of Shulligan’s Bar and Grille has gone out of his away to work with Hopewell Sports Nation and more importantly, give back to the sports teams in Hopewell.
Some of the most recent examples have been hosting various Hopewell sports teams prior to a WPIAL playoff appearance or the Pony league team prior to the start of the playoffs.
There’s a couple more things that are happening this week that HSN wanted to recognize and thank Shutak for.
This weekend is the 2nd annual Hopewell Youth Baseball Golf Tournament and without even being approached, Shutak donated 20 cases of beer for the event, saving the league money which will directly benefit the youth athletes. Once again, he wasn’t asked, Mike just stepped up.
Then tonight, following their first practice of the day and in between their Blue-Gold Game tonight, Shulligan’s is DONATING 600 wings, fries and 3 pizzas to the Hopewell football players and coaches. That’s a lot of food being donated by a small business.
The generosity is endless, if you recall we posted an article back in the Spring where Mike Shutak and Shulligan’s also provided the Hopewell High School with an entire buffet of food for Teacher/Admin/Para’s Appreciation week that served over 125 meals.
Just like he wasn’t asked to do any of this, I’m writing this on my own to let everyone in Hopewell know the type of guy Mike Shutak is and how much he cares about Hopewell.
So, the next time you’re at Shulligan’s Bar and Grille, bring this up to Mike and give him a thanks!
