McCandless tacked on a run in the top of the 3rd and were threatening make it a bigger inning. However, with the bases loaded and 2 outs, Seech struck out a McCandless hitter, which limited the damage. Hopewell still led 4-3.
Hopewell regained that 2-run lead in the bottom of the inning following a 2-out RBI single by Prenatt, which scored Harring. Hopewell led 5-3.
