WATCH: Postgame Interviews with Hopewell Stars Lucas Walton and Charlie Smetana

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP– Following this afternoon’s dramatic playoff clinching 12-11 extra innings win over Ambridge, Hopewell Sports Nation was there and spoke with two of the offensive stars from today’s game- sophomore catcher Charlie Smetana and senior outfielder Lucas Walton.

Smetana came through with a game-tying single in the 8th inning and Walton came through twice, with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 7th and a game-winning single in the 8th inning.

As you’ll see, Smetana and Walton’s teammates were still excited about today’s game!

By the way, the Vikings have one final non-conference game tomorrow afternoon at home against Quaker Valley. This game will have no impact on Hopewell’s playoff status. However, it will be there last home game of the 2024 season.

First pitch from Hopewell High School is set for 4 PM.
