Hopewell Gymnastics Wraps Up 2024 Season
The Hopewell Gymnastics team competed this past weekend at the PA Classic State Championships at Moon High School.
The Hopewell girls brought home a 2nd place team trophy in the Silver Division with a team score of 133.007, which was their highest team score of the season! Team scores are figured by using the top 4 scores on each event from 5 designated gymnasts. For Hopewell, they only have 4 gymnasts that were able to compete at the PA Classic, so all 4 scores on each event counted toward team score, leaving no margin for error.
Individual Awards:
Olivia Sedlacek- Senior – Gold Division: 8th Beam
Emily Bauknight – Sophomore- Silver Division – 7th Bars, 4th All-Around
Marina Pinchotti- Freshman – Silver Division- 10th Vault, 6th Beam, 10th Bars, 2nd All-Around
”We are so proud of our “small but mighty” Hopewell team,” said Hopewell assistant coach Jess Irwin. “Congratulations to Olivia, Alaina, Emily and Marina on winning a 2nd Place Team Trophy. The girls will continue to work hard in the gym in the off-season and hopefully come back even stronger next year! They hope to have some injured teammates back next season as well. Congratulations to the Hopewell Gymnastics Team on a successful season!”
