Great Day For Hopewell High School Wrestling As 8 Wrestlers Advance to the WPIAL Championships

Plenty of exciting things happened on Saturday with the Hopewell High School Wrestling program.

The Viking wrestlers were taking part in section matches at Keystone Oaks High School and the program had a lot of success. Eight wrestlers placed and will be moving on to wrestle at the WPIAL Championships on Friday at Chartiers Valley High School. Congratulations to the following wrestlers for moving on and earning an opportunity to compete on Friday.

Hopewell Sports Nation wants to also congratulate a couple members of the Hopewell coaching staff who received a nice honor on Saturday. Congratulations to both Cody McCullough and Kraig Smith of the Hopewell Coaching staff. McCullough was named the Junior High Coach of the Year, while Smith was recognized as the Varsity Assistant Coach of the Year.
