Hopewell 8th Grader James Armstrong Makes Unofficial Visit to Penn State
It’s not a matter of if but when Power Four college football programs will begin to recruit Hopewell’s James Armstrong.
That’s a lofty statement considering he’s just in 8th grade but if you’ve seen him play, his skill level is fairly obvious.
Honestly, it’s a bit surprising that Armstrong is still waiting for that first D1 offer.
Despite waiting for that first offer, Armstrong was able to achieve something big today as he went on his first unofficial college visit.
James received an invite from Penn state assistant coach Terry Smith to travel to State College and attend a Penn State spring practice. From what we’re hearing, the Penn State staff is impressed with Armstrong and we’d expect this early interest to continue into the future.
The practice begins this afternoon so HSN will talk to Armstrong afterwards and find out what went on today and get his reaction to this big day.
