Hopewell Bowling Team Splits Opener Against Quaker Valley
The Hopewell Vikings men and women’s bowling teams earned a split against Quaker Valley on Wednesday at Sheffield Lanes.
The men picked up a 5-2 win. The women, unfortunately bowling down a player due to some health issues, dropped a 7-0 decision.
Hopewell freshman Aidan Heppner led all men with a high game of 195 and a series of 502. Daniel Earley contributed a 189 game and Brayden Mowry added a 172 game for the Vikings, who are 1-0.
The Viking women were paced by captain Jenna Willy who outscored all women with a high game of 146 and a series of 395.
Hopewell Junior Varsity also earned a 5-2 win and were led by a high game of 191 from senior Gannon Berg.
The Vikings are in action next week on Wednesday vs. Ambridge at Sheffield and take to the road for the first time against Montour on Thursday.
