HASD- SAFETY DRILL ANNOUNCEMENT

Good evening, Hopewell Area School District sent out an announcement today of an upcoming DRILL that will be conducted this week to help students and parents prepare for the event.

“This message is to inform all families the Jr. High school will be conducting an announced safety drill at some point during the remainder of this week.

From the onset of the school year, the Jr. High teachers have been instructed to review safety procedures with all classes to prepare students in the event of an actual event.  Staff and students will be tasked with determining how to proceed (evacuate or shelter in place/barricade) based on the information provided at the onset of the drill.

As you know, drills of this nature create apprehension among all parties involved.  Therefore, we ask all families to please take a moment and remind your children to be attentive during this and future drills.  Following this drill, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either or us.
