Newly Formed Association of Beaver County Umpires – Open for Business!

Most from Hopewell have heard of or probably know the name Vince Pinchotti, from either time on the recreational baseball fields at Kane Road or the Softball Fields. He has been an umpire for years serving in and around the Beaver County area.
Vince reached out to Hopewell Sports Nation today with some exciting news about a new Chapter of Umpires just formed or reformed from one that existed years ago. Games in Beaver County will now be organized by a new association called Association of Beaver County Umpires. Sanctioned by USA Softball, they will now assign umpires in our area for games in and around Beaver County.
This change should be transparent to the players/parents, and you will see familiar faces umpiring our games. This brings the management of umpires in our area local to Beaver County.
Vince told HSN, “There was a chapter in Beaver County roughly six years ago. Eventually it was transitioned into the Lawrence County Chapter who scheduled all rec ball games in our area. A few of the new members of this Beaver County Chapter saw a need for a more localized group of umpires and last year they started the process to reform the league. Four months ago the process of filing new business papers started. USA Softball approved the chapter, Beaver County approved the use of the chapter for softball and now the Chapter is getting the word out so they can start scheduling in beaver county, recruiting new umpires and scheduling tournaments.”
Help us spread the word on this new local resource for our sporting events: The Association of Beaver County Umpires! If you’re an umpire looking for more games, a league looking for umpires for your rec ball games, or a travel ball organization with tournaments that need officiating feel free to reach out to the contacts below!
