Hopewell Girls Varsity Swim Team Brings Home the Championship!
There was a lot of action this weekend throughout Hopewell Sports Nation from Baseball fundraiser events that drove crowds to Volleyball Tournaments, and Robotics competitions.
The swim team was in action as well breaking records, and winning championships, HSN spoke to Head Coach Kathi who broke it down for us!
To say the Vikings had an amazing day at the Beaver County Swim and Dive Championships would be an understatement. We had a day filled with best times, MAC cuts, and WPIAL cuts! I almost can’t believe how many PRs were achieved! To top it all off, our girls team took 1st in the meet! We couldn’t be any prouder! Happy to report that 100% of the team had a best time at this meet!
   Our Girl’s 200 Medley Relay of Emma Driscoll, Mia Blakeslee, Aleena Gray, and Maddie Shields medalled and took third. Our Boys 200 Medley Relay of Mitchell Ryan, Charles Houston, Troy Palochak, and Joey Gregory medalled, took 3rd and got their WPIAL cut. The Girls A 200 and 400 free relays of Jozlyn Marnhout, Ava Yoder, Sophia Magistro, and Lindsey Brown medalled and took 1st.The Girls B 200 Free Relay of Aleena Gray, Maddie Shields, Mia Blakeslee, and Emma Driscoll had their best day and could of taken 4th, but a meet rule had them placing 7th. The Boys 200 Free relay of Mitchell Ryan, Troy Palochak, Joey Gregory, and Charles Houston medalled and took 2nd.

Joey Gregory 2nd in 200 and 100 free, Ava Yoder 3rd 200 IM and 1st 100 back, Aleena Gray 4th 200 IM and 6th 100 fly, Lindsey Brown 2nd 50 free and 1st 100 free, Jozlyn Marnhout 3rd 50 free and 1st 100 fly, Mia Blakeslee 7th 50 free and 4th 100 Breast, Mitchell Ryan 5th 50 free and 5th 100 back, Joel Olshanski 7th 50 free, Charles Houston 2nd 100 fly and 2nd 100 breast, Troy Palochak 3rd 100 fly and 3rd 100 back, Tyler Oliver 6th 100 fly and 6th 100 breast, Sophia Magistro 2nd 100 free and 3rd 100 back, Emma Driscoll 4th 100 free and 5th 100 back,
The team focused in on this meet and will go into the meet today vs W Allegheny with a lot of positive momentum!
