Hopewell Shines at Baden Bowl: Sheffield Juniors Dominate Top Divisions
The Baden Bowl this weekend saw fierce competition and impressive performances, with Hopewell athletes and Sheffield Juniors emerging as key standouts in this annual bowling event.
The Sheffield Juniors team dominated the top two divisions, securing impressive victories and cementing their reputation as formidable competitors. Congratulations are in order for Coaches Mark Sembower, Adam Loverich, Eric Popovich and Meg Heppner, whose leadership helped guide their athletes to this remarkable success.
Hopewell made a strong showing, with several athletes exceeding expectations and bowling above their averages. Among the standout performances was Aidan Heppner, who triumphed in the 160+ division, while Brayden Mowry captured first place in the 130-159 range. Blake Mowry earned a commendable second-place finish in the competitive Class C (100-129). Other notable Hopewell participants included Nolan Houy, Max Butter, Jace Crawford, Zane Crawford, Grayson Popovich, Tristan Trkulja, Brady Fink, Preston Morrison and Annabeth Sembower, each of whom delivered strong performances that demonstrated their skill and dedication.
A key highlight from the event was the consistent excellence displayed by the Hopewell athletes. In fact, all the athletes from Hopewell managed to bowl above their averages, a testament to their hard work and training. Notably, scores exceeding 600, as seen in the below photo, marked a significant achievement, with these performances indicating an outstanding level of play beyond their typical results. Tristan Trkulja, and Grayson Popovich were 1 and 2 in the A Division. Twelve of the 33 bowlers today were from our Juniors League which is extremely impressive.
As the event wrapped up, it was clear that the weekend belonged to both Sheffield Juniors and Hopewell athletes, whose achievements in the tournament will be remembered for their standout performances and relentless drive. Each of the top winners can receive small cash prizes accessible upon Graduation.
