Hopewell 11-Year Old All-Stars Open With 11-0 Win Over Beaver

The 2024 Hopewell All-Star Tournament got underway as the 11-year old team was in action.

Over the weekend, the Hopewell 7, 9 and 11-year old teams will play host up various teams across Western Pennsylvania at the Kane Road Fields.

The Hopewell 11-year olds kicked things off and played a near perfect game in defeating Beaver, 11-0.

Strong pitching from Wade Enders, Rylinn Davis, and Kruz Krotec was the difference in this game. The trio
combined for only 1 BB, 3 H, and 8K in 5 innings of work.

Rhett Rankin had a mammoth HR to left center field in the bottom of the 4th and Kruz Krotec had a 2 run double in the bottom of 5th to seal the deal.

Austin Gallagher and Eli Seech each recorded 2 hits and scored 2 Runs. Eli laid down a perfect bunt to single and load the bases in the 5th.

Catching was also an advantage for Hopewell as Wade Enders and Wes Gigliotti were very clean behind the plate and kept runners honest.
