WPIAL Softball All Section Players Selected

The All-Section softball teams are selected by the Post-Gazette, based on the voting of WPIAL coaches. All coaches in the WPIAL were asked to vote for the top players in their section and were not permitted to vote for players from their own team.

While their record this year was not what we expected, the Hopewell Varsity softball team was not short on players that gave it everything they had to drive their team to victory.

Multiple players stood out in my mind as being worthy of the WPIAL All Section status but generally I agree with the selections made, but might have banked on at least one or two others. We do have some great talent on the team that is sure to shine through next year as they move up the ranks and into leadership roles after multiple departing seniors will leave big shoes to fill.

Senior- Mya Parish – Pitcher and infielder

Senior – Chloe Nale – Catcher/Shortstop

Junior – Kara Barkovich – Pitcher/Outfield
