Section Opponents of the Hopewell Vikings Girls Basketball Team for the Next 2 Seasons

The Hopewell Girls basketball team will field a talented roster for the upcoming basketball season.

Today, Coach Jeff Homziak and his program found out who will be members of their section for the next two seasons.

Section realignment is something that the WPIAL undertakes every two years and on Wednesday, the WPIAL board approved the updated alignments.

WPIAL basketball schedules and postseason dates will be released after the PIAA board meets on July 17th, when they will put together state playoff dates.

Class 4A, Section 2:

Section 2: Hopewell, Ambridge, Beaver, Blackhawk, Central Valley, Lincoln Park and Hampton.

Section 1: Burrell, Derry, Freeport, Highlands, Knoch, North Catholic, Oakland Catholic and Valley.

Section 3: Belle Vernon, Elizabeth Forward, Laurel Highlands, Mt. Pleasant, Ringgold, South Park, Southmoreland and Yough.
