Team Holsinger won on a walk-off single by Donovan McDowell that scored a hustling Emmet Gratz from second base to defeat Team Ackerman 10-9 in the Championship game of the Coach Pitch Tournament.

Team Ackerman came out hot in the first inning with 4 runs on hits by Bennett Baron, Elias Swanson, Aaron Ackerman, Tommy Carver and August Arostegui.  After a key double play by Team Ackerman in the bottom of the inning, Team Holsinger managed 2 runs to close the gap with hits from Deacon Ankrom, Michael Kurta, Levi Schmidt and Nico BonAnno.

The defenses took over for the next couple innings and the game remained low scoring until the bottom half of the 3rd inning when Team Holsinger scored 3 runs with 2 outs in the inning to tie the game at 5.  Emmet Gratz, Obie DeCanio,  and Jacob Sutton led the charge with 2 outs.  Defense was once again the story in the fourth inning, as both teams made key outs including a great play by third baseman Jacob Sutton with the long throw and scoop by Max Holsinger at first base.

Now trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the 5th, Team Holsinger mounted another 2 out rally scoring 4 runs highlighted by a big double from Coleson Orie.

Team Ackerman would not go quietly as they had their own 2-out rally in the top of the 6th inning  to tie the game at 9.  Hard hit balls by Bennett Baron, Aaron Ackerman, Tommy Carver, and August Arostegui led the comeback.

It was fitting that a final 2-out rally would lead to the victory for Team Holsinger as Jacob Sutton and Donovan McDowell both singled to drive in Emmet Gratz to secure the walk-off victory.

Coleson Orie, Deacon Ankrom, and Michael Kurta had 4 hits for Team Holsinger, while Aaron Ackerman and Tommy Carver led the offense for Team Ackerman with 4 hits apiece.
