The Hopewell Youth Baseball Summer session of games is coming to a close but that doesn’t mean that baseball is over.
Tournaments will be going on all summer and before you know it, Fall Ball will be starting.
But before that, a great opportunity for young baseball players in our community is available.
Hopewell High School Baseball head coach Morgan Singletary is giving back and doing his part to help young players in Hopewell.
Starting this Sunday and most Sunday’s during the summer, Coach Singletary will be conducting open practices for any kid in Hopewell that’s currently participating in our Coaches Pitch League.
These practices will take place at the Kane Road Field from 11 AM until Noon.Â
The main focus of these practices will be working with kids on good throwing technique, catching and field techniques and some defensive situations.
Just to be clear, this is open to ANY HOPEWELL YOUTH BASEBALL PLAYER that’s playing coaches’ pitch.
We ask your child to obviously bring a bat, glove and a water bottle.
It’s also important that the kids show Coach Singletary and his helpers the same amount of respect that they’ve shown to all of the Hopewell coaches during our season.
This is obviously not mandatory but if your schedule permits, it’s something that is highly encouraged and will be beneficial to the development of your child.
Go Vikings!
