Kane Road hosts three games on newly resurfaced fields!

It was a busy night at Kane Road, with three fields up and running, Tball, Coach Pitch and Little League games.

On the Coach Pitch field, The Hopewell Hammers -defeated another Hopewell team lead by Coach Benson 16-3.

The Hopewell Hammers opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles, Michael Kurta first got on the board with a single, scoring one run. Six different batters drove in RBI’s, giving them an early lead with six runs in the bottom of the second. RBI were made by Coleson O, Deacon A, Michael K, Emmet G, Jacob S, and Obelisk D.

The Hammers continued the offensive production with three runs in the bottom of the third inning. They had 29 hits in the game with Michael K driving the middle of the lineup, leading Hopewell Hammers with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 4-for-5 on the day. Max H, Deacon A, Emmet G, Jacob S, Nico B, and Obelisk D each collected multiple hits for Hopewell helping them to win the game.

Hopewell pitching was fantastic from both teams the Hammers gave up three hits and zero runs in the first. Nico B pitched two innings of shutout baseballfor the Hopewell Hammers.  He gave up four hits, striking out three and walking none.

Coach Bensons team also had a good game as his team smacked 14 hits in the game. Trent M and Mason T each collected three hits for Benson Coach Pitch.
