HW Boys Volleyball Kickoffs
The HW Boys Volleyball team announced the start of their season today talking about their coach and expectations.
“Robert Hall, hailing from Canonsburg, is gearing up for his fourth season coaching the Hopewell Vikings Boys Volleyball team. Describing his coaching style as “positive, competitive, and encouraging,” Coach Hall emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, both on and off the court. He believes that one’s attitude not only defines them but also influences those around them, impacting performance during practices and games alike.
For Coach Hall, witnessing the players develop a love for the game is one of the most rewarding aspects of coaching. This passion is reflected in the increasing interest from student-athletes, with the team’s numbers growing significantly from 13 boys in his first year to 28 signed up for the current season. Open gym turnouts have been impressive, indicating a rising popularity for the sport among the student-athlete community.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Coach Hall expresses optimism about the team’s potential competitiveness. With an experienced senior class and notable improvements from underclassmen, there’s healthy competition for positions within the team. Coach Hall believes that consistent hard work will lead to positive outcomes for the Vikings.
The Vikings’ game schedule features tough matchups against formidable opponents like North Catholic and Mars. Despite the challenges, Coach Hall and his team are prepared to face the competition head-on.
The community is invited to support the Hopewell Vikings Boys Volleyball team at their home opener on Tuesday, March 26th, with JV action starting at 6 pm against the Moon Tigers. It promises to be an exciting start to what Coach Hall hopes will be a successful season for the Vikings.”
