Former Hopewell Athletes Excelling In College
If you have the ability to continue your athletic career beyond high school, you are very fortunate because not everyone is able to do so.
However, a number of recent graduates from Hopewell High School are currently doing that and doing quite well.
Hopewell Sports Nation wants to let you know about them and to get them some recognition.
Dom Flitcraft– Freshman member of the Cross-Country team at Washington & Jefferson.
-Flitcraft was recently named the PAC Newcomer of the Year.
-Dom was named to the All-PAC First Team.
-Earned All-Region Status at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional (23rd Place Overall).
Leia Michelle Day– Member of the Carlow College Track and Field Team.
-Day recently finished 3rd in the high jump at the United East Conference Championships. She was able to jump a season best 1.40m (4’7″). Nice job Leia!
Matthew Essey– Freshman member of the Westminster College Track and Field Team.
-Essey placed 5th in the long jump at the PAC Athletics Track and Field Championship. Essey had a jump of 6.34m (20’9.75″) and ran a 51.65 split on the 4×400 relay team that placed 3rd.
Aubryanna Snyder– Freshman Member of the Allegheny College Track and Field Team. Snyder placed 5th in the triple jump with a season and college best jump of 10.38m (34′ 0.75″), and 6th in long jump with 4.99m (16′ 4.5″).
