Nice Performance Over the Weekend From Hopewell 5th and 6th Grade Little Lady Vikings Basketball
The purpose of Hopewell Sports Nation is to give attention to as many athletes in our district, not just the ones in high school and not just the boys.
Plenty of kids are working hard and doing good things and HSN wants to bring to attention to as many of them as possible.
With that mind, we wanted to send our congratulations to the Little Lady Vikings, who were in action this past weekend in the Hopewell Winter Shootout Tournament. The 5th Grade girls went 2-1 in their 3 games, winning 17-2 vs Ellwood City, losing 12-18 vs Moon and then winning 33-18 over Beaver.
The 6th Grade girls went an impressive 4-0, beating Beaver, 31-6, winning a close one vs Moon 18-17, beating Beaver 27-6 and then beating Blackhawk 15-12 to finish the tournament.
Great job ladies!
The 5th and 6th grade girls are playing an exhibition game vs South Side on Monday 12/18 at Hopewell. After that, the 4th, 5th & 6th grade teams will then all be playing in the South Side Slam tournament on January 6th & 7th at South Side Beaver. League play then starts that following week.
